EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are aware of our role in communities in which we operate. As indicated earlier Stone Age is a leading Black owned company in the sector, and a leading efficient producer of value products for its customers. A portion of the equity in the company has been allocated to a community trust whose proceeds will be to support projects for the upliftment of the women of the surrounding community of Mamelodi.

Our policy to make use of subcontractors on our production lines is one method we employ to contribute towards society. Following this route we created businesses for eight black empowerment subcontractors who in turn again supply work for at least 135 labourers.

We contribute to, and sponsor various charities, as well as sports clubs and individual athletes on a regular basis.
